What is your approach to nutrition and dietary planning?
As a dietitian, I use a holistic and evidence-based approach to nutrition and dietary planning. My focus is on helping clients achieve their health goals through individualized nutrition recommendations that are sustainable, realistic, and enjoyable. I believe in considering all aspects of a person’s life, including their physical activity, medical history, and cultural and personal food preferences, when developing a dietary plan. I also educate my clients on healthy eating habits and provide them with the tools and support they need to make positive changes to their diet. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to make informed food choices and lead a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Do you offer virtual or in person meetings?
As a private practice dietitian, I mostly offer virtual meetings, however I accommodate my clients’ needs and preferences. We can meet through a video call for 1:1 sessions, supermarket tours, or even cooking classes, but if you prefer to meet in person were can work together. I strive to provide personalized and effective nutrition support to help my clients achieve their health goals.
How often would we meet and for how long?
The frequency and length of our meetings would depend on your individual needs and goals. We can discuss and determine an appointment schedule that works best for you during our initial consultation. Some clients benefit from weekly or bi-weekly appointments, while others prefer monthly check-ins. I am flexible and will work with you to find a schedule that fits your needs and allows us to effectively monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your dietary plan.
What is your availability and can you accommodate my schedule?
I strive to accommodate my clients’ schedules and make myself available at times that are convenient for them. I typically offer appointments during weekday office hours and some evenings or weekends. I would be happy to discuss my availability in more detail during our initial consultation and find a time that works best for you. If you have any specific scheduling requests or constraints, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate them.
What kind of support can I expect from you outside of our scheduled meetings?
In addition to our scheduled meetings, I provide ongoing support to my clients to help them stay on track and achieve their health goals. This may include:
- Email support between appointments to answer any questions or address any concerns.
- Regular check-ins through text or email.
- Access to educational resources, such as articles, handouts, and recipes.
- Recommendations for supportive tools, such as food and symptom tracking apps.
- Referrals to other healthcare professionals or community resources as needed.
I believe that ongoing support is critical to the success of my clients and I am committed to providing the best possible care and resources to help them achieve their health goals.
Can you provide specific recommendations for me based on my current health status and medical history?
Yes, I can provide specific recommendations based on your current health status and medical history. As a dietitian, I take into account various factors such as your age, weight, height, physical activity level, and medical conditions when developing a customized nutrition plan. I work closely with my clients to understand their individual needs and goals, and use that information to create a tailored and evidence-based nutrition plan that takes into account all the relevant factors.
How would you monitor my progress and adjust my dietary plan as needed?
I monitor my clients’ progress by regularly assessing their food intake and progress towards their health goals. Depending on the frequency of our appointments, I may ask for food logs or other relevant data to track progress. If needed, I make adjustments to the dietary plan by incorporating new recommendations or modifying existing ones to ensure my clients are on track to meet their goals. I believe that regular progress monitoring and plan adjustments are crucial to ensuring the success of my clients and helping them achieve their health goals in a sustainable manner.
What if I have a question between sessions?
Things come up after our meetings. I get it. The best thing to do is use the chat feature on Practice Better if it’s a quick question. If not, you can email me at Podobnutrition@gmail.com and we can schedule a follow up session to discuss.
Can you work with my other healthcare providers (e.g. doctor, physical therapist)?
Yes, I can work with your other healthcare providers, including your doctor and physical therapist, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to your care. I believe that collaboration with other healthcare professionals is important to provide the best possible care for my clients. I am happy to communicate with your other providers and share updates on your progress as needed. I always strive to ensure that my clients receive the best possible care and support for their health and wellness.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not take insurance at this time, but we can provide you with a superbill. A superbill is a detailed receipt of services rendered that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
